Executive Treks

What It’s All About

In today’s fast-moving world of innovation, understanding what’s next is not just valuable, but essential. Executive Treks are immersive, curated experiences that bring senior corporate leaders face-to-face with cutting-edge startups, visionary experts, and industry pioneers. Whether it’s a one-day intensive or a multi-day exploration, each Trek is designed to expand thinking, open minds to the art of the possible, and inspire bold, future-forward ideas that translate into meaningful action. These experiences accelerate organizational alignment around strategic priorities and help leaders move from curiosity to execution with confidence.

Why This Matters Now

Leadership teams often get stuck in  the day-to-day and with little space for bold, generative, future-focused thinking. Traditional workshops and industry conferences often fall flat, as they’re either too generic, too theoretical, or too driven by vendor agendas. Executive Treks solve this by creating tailored, high-touch experiences that cut through the noise. They expose decision-makers to provocative insights and tangible technologies that directly map to their business challenges.

What You Get

Executive Treks encompass an engaging mix of different event formats, including:

Panel Discussions

Moderated discussions with leading thought leaders, bringing together diverse, complementary, and sometimes contrarian views. Designed to spark big picture thinking.

Fireside Chats

Engaging conversations with front-line experts that blend real-world insights and forward-looking perspectives, delivered through a dynamic mix of presentation and Q&A that brings theory to life.

Roundtable Discussions

Over dinner or in the boardroom, we connect clients with other leading corporates to share hard-won lessons from the frontlines of emerging tech and innovation.

Startup Showcases

Fast-paced sessions featuring startup execs who break down the why, how, and what’s next of their tech, giving clients a front-row view into emerging solutions and where the market is headed.

Immersive Experiences

Some insights can’t be gleaned from a slide deck. These hands-on visits put clients on the ground with cutting-edge technologies in action, showing how they’re reshaping industries like manufacturing, supply chain, AI, robotics, and healthcare. It’s experiential learning that reveals not just what’s possible, but what’s working, and where real value is being created.

What It Looks Like In Action

    Challenge

Like many companies post-COVID, our client faced the task of redefining its Digital Workplace to better support its workforce and enhance productivity. The company needed to identify and prioritize critical digital solutions and had an ambition to pilot at least three vendors within three months post Executive Trek. They were looking to strike the right balance between inspiration and knowing where workplace design was headed while surfacing practical solutions that are established and proven across the industry already.

    Approach

We organized a four-day Executive Trek, split between two days in San Francisco and two days in New York City. The immersive trek featured exclusive office tours, insightful fireside chats, and strategic roundtable dinners, engaging the executives with industry leaders, innovators, and startups in the digital workspace arena. We brought together leaders from companies such as Dropbox, LinkedIn, Meta, Salesforce, Cloudflare, Mastercard, Amex, TIAA, Ideo, Gensler, Metaprop, along with startup solutions from OwlLabs, Coda, Density, Bubbles, and many more.

    Results

The diverse experiences provided valuable insights into post-pandemic workplace roles, innovative workspace design, and emerging technologies, fostering learning and inspiration that were vital in shaping the company’s journey towards becoming a digital workspace leader. In a follow-on project, Kearney helped build a technology roadmap, business case, and support for piloting some of the prioritized solutions.
